South Carolina Articles of Merger (Domestic Nonprofit Corp) is a legal document that is used to consolidate two or more domestic nonprofit corporations in the state of South Carolina. It is filed with the South Carolina Secretary of State in order to officially merge the two or more entities into one single entity. The Articles of Merger must include the name and address of each of the merging corporations, the name and address of the surviving corporation, the purpose of the merger, the date of the merger, and the signatures of the authorized representatives of each of the merging corporations. There are two types of South Carolina Articles of Merger that can be filed: Short Form and Long Form. The Short Form is the simplest and most commonly used form and requires minimal information. The Long Form requires more detailed information about the merger and is used in more complex merger scenarios.
