South Carolina Notice of Public Sale Towed or Abandoned Vehicle/Property (For Posting) is a document required by the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles in order to legally sell a towed or abandoned vehicle or property. This document must be posted in a public place, such as a newspaper, a public bulletin board, or a website, at least seven days prior to the sale. The notice must include the name of the towing or storage company, the location of the sale, the date of the sale, the year, make, and model of the vehicle or property being sold, and the minimum bid amount. Depending on the type of sale, the notice must also include information about the legal authority to tow or store the vehicle or property, the lien holder information, and the right of redemption, if applicable. There are three types of South Carolina Notice of Public Sale Towed or Abandoned Vehicle/Property (For Posting): the notice of sale of a towed vehicle, the notice of sale of an abandoned vehicle, and the notice of sale of a vehicle subject to a lien.
