The South Carolina Acceptance of Service (Child Support Modification) is a legal document used to modify the existing child support order in the state of South Carolina. It allows the custodial parent to agree to a proposed change in the child support amount or the terms of the original order. The Acceptance of Service documents must be signed by the custodial parent and filed in the local family court. There are two types of South Carolina Acceptance of Service (Child Support Modification): a “full” and a “partial” acceptance. A full acceptance agrees to and fully accepts the proposed change in the child support order. A partial acceptance agrees to some, but not all, of the proposed changes.
