A Tennessee Notice of Appeal is a legal document used in the state of Tennessee to inform the court of an individual's intention to appeal a decision. It is used to initiate the appeals process and must be filed within thirty days of the judgment or order from which the appeal is taken. There are two types of Tennessee Notice of Appeal: an appeal from the Circuit Court and an appeal from the Chancery Court. The Notice of Appeal must include the case name and number, the date of the judgment or order, the name of the court from which the appeal is taken, and the name and address of the person filing the appeal. The Notice must also include a concise statement of the issues to be appealed and the relief sought. Once the Notice of Appeal is filed, the clerk of court will enter the appeal in the register of actions and provide notice to the other parties.
