There are two types of Tennessee AFFIDAVIT — Abstract of LienLisPendens: a Notice of Lien and a Notice of Li's Pendent. A Notice of Lien is a document used by a lien holder to inform the public of their interest in a certain piece of property. This type of document is filed when a lien holder has a valid lien on the property, but does not yet have possession of it. A Notice of Li's Pendent is a document that is filed when a lien holder has acquired possession of the property and is seeking to foreclose on it. This document is used to inform the public of the lien holder’s rights to the property.
