The Tennessee Application for 21st Drug Court is a program designed to provide substance abuse treatment to individuals who have been charged with nonviolent offenses. This program is designed to reduce recidivism by providing intensive probationary supervision, drug testing, and other services to those who have been charged with drug or alcohol related offenses. Participants must complete the application process in order to be considered for the program. The application process includes completing an application form, providing proof of residency in the state of Tennessee, providing proof of income, submitting to a criminal background check, and submitting to drug/alcohol testing. Participants must also agree to attend drug/alcohol treatment, complete community service, and abide by all program rules. There are three types of Tennessee Application for 21st Drug Court: Adult Application, Minor Application, and Juvenile Application. The Adult Application is for those who are at least 18 years of age and have been charged with a non-violent offense. The Minor Application is for those who are between the ages of 16 and 17 and have been charged with a non-violent offense. The Juvenile Application is for those who are under the age of 16 and have been charged with a non-violent offense.
