The Tennessee Secured Party Petition for Review Application is a legal document used to request a review of a lien or security interest filed in the Tennessee Secretary of State’s office. The Petition for Review is used when a secured party, or creditor, disputes the accuracy of the information listed in the filing or wishes to have the filing removed. The Petition for Review can be used to request a review of the following types of filings: • UCC Financing Statement • UCC-1 Financing Statement Amendment • UCC-3 Financing Statement Continuation • UCC-3 Financing Statement Termination • UCC-11 Information Statement • UCC-5 Information Statement Amendment • UCC-6 Information Statement Termination • UCC-9 Chattel Mortgage • UCC-9A Chattel Mortgage Amendment • UCC-9B Chattel Mortgage Termination • UCC-11A Lease Financing Statement • UCC-11B Lease Financing Statement Amendment • UCC-11C Lease Financing Statement Termination The Petition for Review must be accompanied by a $75 filing fee and must be filed by the secured party or an authorized representative. Once the Petition for Review is received, the Tennessee Secretary of State will review the filing and determine if the lien or security interest should be removed or amended.
