The Tennessee Child Support Worksheet is a form used by courts, attorneys, and parents in the state of Tennessee to calculate the amount of child support to be paid. It is based on the Tennessee Child Support Guidelines which are used to determine the amount of child support to be paid based on the income of both parents. The worksheet is divided into two sections; the Income Section and the Expense Section. The Income Section includes factors such as gross income, deductions, and adjustments. The Expense Section includes factors such as medical expenses, child care expenses, and other expenses. The worksheet also includes a “Total” section which calculates the total amount of child support to be paid. The worksheet is used in both contested and uncontested divorces. There are two main types of Tennessee Child Support Worksheet; the Standard Worksheet and the Shared Parenting Worksheet. The Standard Worksheet is used when both parents have equal parenting time. The Shared Parenting Worksheet is used when the parents do not have equal parenting time.
