Texas Fee Applications for Debtors' Attorney are documents used by debtors' attorneys in the state of Texas to request court approval of their fees and costs for representing a debtor in a bankruptcy case. These applications must be filed with the court in order to receive compensation for their services. There are two types of Texas Fee Applications for Debtors' Attorney: (1) the Attorney Fee Application Under 11 U.S.C. § 330 and (2) the Attorney Application for Reimbursement of Costs or Fees Under 11 U.S.C. § 503. The first type of fee application is used to request court approval for payment of attorneys’ fees by the bankruptcy estate; the second type is used to request reimbursement of costs and fees incurred by the attorney prior to the commencement of the bankruptcy case. Both applications must include detailed information about the services performed, the time and labor expended, and the reasonable value of the services provided.
