The Texas Financial Information Statement (IS) is a document issued by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts that provides an assessment of a taxpayer's financial condition. The IS used to determine eligibility for certain state programs and services, such as the Texas Tuition Equalization Grant (TEN) and Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) programs. The IS outlines the taxpayer's income and expenses, assets and liabilities, and other financial information. There are four types of IS: the Original IS, the Revised IS, the Current IS, and the Financial Assistance IS. The Original IS used for the TEN and TWC programs. The Revised IS used for the Texas Opportunity Grant Program (TOP). The Current IS used for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (TH ECB) programs. The Financial Assistance IS used for the Texas Education Agency (TEA) programs.
