The Texas Certificate of Construction Completion is a document issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (DLR) to certify completion of a construction project according to the Texas Administrative Code. This document is necessary for all construction projects in the state of Texas, including new construction, remodeling, and repair. It is used to verify that a project has been completed and inspected according to the state’s regulations. There are two types of Texas Certificate of Construction Completion: the Standard Certificate of Construction Completion and the Limited Certificate of Construction Completion. The Standard Certificate is issued when all construction has been completed, all necessary inspections have been conducted, and all applicable code requirements have been met. The Limited Certificate is issued when the work has been completed, but the DLR has not yet been able to conduct all necessary inspections. In addition to the Standard and Limited Certificates, there is also the Provisional Certificate of Construction Completion. This document is issued when a project is determined to be in compliance with the Texas Administrative Code, but the DLR has not yet been able to conduct all necessary inspections. The Provisional Certificate is valid for one year and may be extended for up to two additional years.
