Texas Crowdfunding Portal Registration Small Business Development Entity is a program offered by the Texas State Securities Board (TSS) that allows small business owners to register with the TSS in order to receive access to the Texas Crowdfunding Portal. This portal enables small business owners to raise capital through the sale of securities to Texas residents, both accredited and non-accredited investors. The program is designed to help small businesses connect with investors and raise capital to start or grow their businesses. The Texas Crowdfunding Portal Registration Small Business Development Entity consists of two types: (1) a Texas Small Business Development Entity (TS BDE) and (2) a Texas Crowdfunding Portal Manager (CPM). The TS BDE is the entity which registers with TSS to access the crowdfunding portal and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the portal. The CPM is the entity which facilitates the transactions on the crowdfunding portal and is responsible for ensuring that all transactions comply with the TSS rules. The Texas Crowdfunding Portal Registration Small Business Development Entity provides small business owners with the opportunity to access a secure, online platform to raise capital and build relationships with investors. The program also provides access to resources, guidance and educational materials to help small business owners understand the process of raising capital through crowdfunding.
