Texas Administrative Review — Distribution of Child Support Payments is a process in which the Texas Office of the Attorney General reviews child support payments that have been ordered in court. It ensures that the amount of child support payments is adequate for the child's needs and is in line with the court's order. It is also used to verify the noncustodial parent's income and to resolve any disputes about the amount of child support payments. There are two types of Texas Administrative Review — Distribution of Child Support Payments: voluntary administrative review and mandatory administrative review. Voluntary administrative review allows the custodial parent to request a review of child support payments if they feel the amount is too low or not in line with the court's order. Mandatory administrative review is required when the noncustodial parent's income increases or decreases by a certain amount or when the noncustodial parent's income changes more than once within a year.
