A Texas Request To Redact Social Security Number is a legal document used to remove a person's Social Security Number (SSN) from public record. This type of request must be filed in the Texas district court where the document containing the SSN was filed. There are three types of Texas Request To Redact Social Security Number: (1) Request to Redact SSN from Existing Document; (2) Request to Redact SSN from Pending Document; and (3) Request to Redact SSN from Index. Request to Redact SSN from Existing Document applies to documents already in the public record. This request includes a payment of a fee and a sworn statement affirming the reason for the request. Request to Redact SSN from Pending Document applies to documents that have been filed but have not yet been entered into the public record. This request also requires a sworn statement and payment of a fee. Request to Redact SSN from Index applies to documents that have been entered into the public record but have not yet been indexed. This request requires a sworn statement and payment of a fee. All three types of Texas Request To Redact Social Security Number must be signed by the person requesting the redaction.
