Texas Life Agent Notification to TDI to act as a Life Settlement Broker is a process for licensed life agents in Texas to notify the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) of their intent to act as a Life Settlement Broker. The agent must complete and submit the Application for Life Settlement Broker License to the TDI, as well as provide additional information and documentation as requested. There are three types of Texas Life Agent Notification to TDI to act as a Life Settlement Broker: Initial Notification, Renewal Notification, and Change of Status Notification. Initial Notification requires agents to complete and submit the Application for Life Settlement Broker License, and provide additional documentation and proof of financial responsibility. Renewal Notification is required annually, and agents must provide current financial information and proof of financial responsibility. Lastly, Change of Status Notification is required when the agent's status changes, and the agent must submit a Change of Status form to the TDI.
