Texas Registration of A Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) is the process of registering a business entity in the state of Texas. It is a business structure that combines the pass-through taxation of a partnership with the limited liability of a corporation. This type of business structure gives the partners limited liability protection from debts and obligations of the LLP. In order to register an LLP in Texas, a business must file an Application for Registration of a Limited Liability Partnership with the Texas Secretary of State. The application must include the name of the LLP, the name and address of the registered agent, the names of all the partners, and the address of the principal office. The filing fee for the application is $300. There are two types of Texas Registration of A Limited Liability Partnership: domestic and foreign. A domestic LLP is one that is formed in the state of Texas. A foreign LLP is one that is formed in another state, but is registered to do business in Texas. The same application must be filed for both types of LLP registration.
