The Texas Quarterly Governmental Action Report Amusement Ride Safety Inspection and Insurance Act is Texas state legislation that is designed to protect the public from potential harm caused by amusement rides and attractions. It requires that all amusement rides and attractions be inspected by a qualified inspector at least every 90 days, and that operators have valid insurance coverage in place. The Act also requires operators to maintain records of all inspections and any accidents or injuries that occur related to the rides or attractions. There are two types of Texas Quarterly Governmental Action Report Amusement Ride Safety Inspection and Insurance Act: (1) The Amusement Ride Safety & Insurance Act of 1997, and (2) The Amusement Ride Safety & Insurance Act of 2005. Both Acts provide similar requirements for the inspection and insurance of amusement rides and attractions, though the 2005 Act includes additional regulations for temporary amusement rides.
