A Texas Notice of Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Case (For Corporations or Partnerships) is a document filed with the bankruptcy court that informs creditors and other interested parties of the debtor's (corporation or partnership) filing of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy petition. The Notice of Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Case includes information about the debtor's assets, liabilities, and proposed reorganization plan. It also provides creditors with an opportunity to object to the debtor's plan, or to file claims for any unpaid debts. The Notice of Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Case must be served on all creditors listed in the debtor's bankruptcy petition, as well as any other parties deemed necessary by the court. There are two types of Texas Notice of Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Case (For Corporations or Partnerships): an Initial Notice and a Final Notice. The Initial Notice serves to alert creditors of the filing of the debtor's bankruptcy petition and provides instructions for filing a claim. The Final Notice informs creditors of the results of the reorganization plan and provides instructions for filing a proof of claim.
