The Texas Fire Standard Compliant Cigarette Manufacturer Form is a document issued by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSS) that certifies a manufacturer’s cigarettes as meeting the Texas Fire Standard. This form is required for any company that wishes to manufacture, distribute, or sell cigarettes in the state of Texas. There are two types of Texas Fire Standard Compliant Cigarette Manufacturer Forms: one for cigarettes that have been tested and found to be in compliance with the fire safety standards established by the DSS, and one for cigarettes that have not yet been tested. The form must be completed and signed by the manufacturer and submitted to the DSS for review and approval. Once the form is approved, the manufacturer may begin producing and/or distributing cigarettes in Texas.
