Right of Way-Uncontrolled Intersection is an intersection where there are no traffic lights, stop signs, or other traffic control devices. This type of intersection is often found in rural areas. At a Right of Way-Uncontrolled Intersection, vehicles do not have the right of way automatically. Instead, the drivers must use the "Rule of Right of Way" which states that the driver on the left must yield to the driver on the right. There are two types of Right of Way-Uncontrolled Intersections: four-way stops and yield signs. In a four-way stop, each driver must come to a complete stop before proceeding through the intersection. At a yield sign, the drivers must slow down and yield to traffic already in the intersection. In both cases, drivers must use caution and be mindful of other drivers when navigating a Right of Way-Uncontrolled Intersection.
