It is a common practice for consumers (“Preneed Purchasers”) to contract with Cemetery Authorities for Preneed Merchandise and Services prior to the time when death is imminent. This Trust can be used when Cemetery Authority and Trustee wish to set forth the terms and conditions whereby all accumulated deposits hereafter deposited under this Trust Agreement and all accumulated appreciation and income.
A Preened Cemetery Merchandise and Services Trust Agreement is a legal document that is used to ensure that cemetery goods and services are properly protected and paid for at a later date. The trust agreement also outlines the responsibilities of both the customer and the funeral home or cemetery, and protects both parties in the event of death or financial hardship. There are three main types of Preened Cemetery Merchandise and Services Trust Agreement: funeral home trusts, cemetery trusts, and combined trusts. Funeral home trusts are used when a customer purchases prearranged funeral services from a funeral home. Cemetery trusts are used when a customer purchases cemetery goods and services from a cemetery. Combined trusts are used when a customer purchases goods and services from both a funeral home and a cemetery.
