An Order Terminating Appointment of Counsel and/or Authorization for Distribution of Available Private Funds is a court order that terminates the appointment of a lawyer or other legal representative and/or authorizes the distribution of funds held in a private account. This type of order is typically issued in cases involving estates, trusts, conservatorships, guardianship, and/or other matters where someone is appointed to manage the affairs of a party or parties. It typically includes the name of the party or parties, the lawyer or legal representative, and the amount of funds to be distributed. There are two types of such orders: those that terminate the appointment of counsel and those that authorize the distribution of funds. The former may be issued when a court determines that an attorney is no longer needed or is no longer competent to handle the case or when a party requests that the appointment be terminated. The latter may be issued when a court determines that funds held in a private account should be distributed to beneficiaries or creditors. In both cases, the order must be served upon the parties and the lawyer or legal representative, and the funds must be distributed in accordance with the order.
