18 U.S.C. Sec. 1030(E)(7) DEFINITION OF "DEPARTMENT OF THE UNITED STATES" defines the term "Department of the United States" as any executive department, military department, Government corporation, Government controlled corporation, or other establishment in the executive branch of the Government (including the Executive Office of the President), or any independent regulatory agency. This definition includes the Department of Defense, the Department of State, the Department of the Treasury, the Department of Commerce, the Department of Justice, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Labor, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Education, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Federal Communications Commission, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the Office of Personnel Management, and the Small Business Administration.
