18 U.S.C. Sec. 1591(E)(3) Commercial Sex Act (CSA) is a federal law which criminalizes the purchase, patronage, and solicitation of commercial sex acts. It is also commonly referred to as the “Ban on Child Sex Trafficking”. Under this law, the purchase, patronage, and solicitation of any commercial sex act is illegal, regardless of whether the sex act is with an adult or a minor, and regardless of whether the exchange is for money, goods, services, or something else of value.
