18 U.S.C. Sec. 2252A(A)(2)(B) RECEIPT OR DISTRIBUTION OF MATERIAL CONTAINING CHILD PORNOGRAPHY is a federal law that criminalizes the receipt or distribution of pornographic material featuring minors. This law makes it illegal to knowingly receive, transport, ship, or distribute any visual depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Offenders may be fined, imprisoned for up to 10 years, or both. There are two types of violations under this law, receipt and distribution.
