18 U.S.C. Sec. 2256(9) Identifiable Minor — Defined is a legal section that defines an identifiable minor as a person under the age of 18 whose image or likeness is recognizable either in person or through a digital image. This definition includes any digital image, film, or other medium that captures the likeness of the minor. This definition of an identifiable minor is used to protect minors from being exploited in child pornography and other forms of sexual exploitation. There are two types of identifiable minors: identifiable minor as a victim and identifiable minor as a perpetrator.
