Sec. 842(A)(1) makes it illegal for any person to import, manufacture, or deal in explosive materials without a license issued under the federal laws governing such activities. This includes any explosives, blasting agents, and/or detonators. The types of explosives prohibited under this section include any chemical compound, mixture, or device which is intended to be used to cause an explosion. This section also applies to any person who transports, receives, or possesses any explosive materials without a license. Violation of this section is a federal offense and may result in a fine, imprisonment, or both.
