An Affidavit of Attesting Witnesses is a legal document that is used when two or more witnesses certify the authenticity of a particular document. This document is commonly used to verify the validity of a Last Will and Testament, a living will, or any other legal document that needs to be authenticated. This document is signed by the witnesses and notarized, attesting to the fact that they witnessed the signing of the document by the person(s) who are listed as the signatories. There are two types of Affidavit of Attesting Witnesses: a single affine and multiple affronts. In a single affine affidavit, one witness certifies the authenticity of the document. In a multiple affine affidavit, two or more witnesses attest to the accuracy of the document. In both cases, the affidavit must be signed by the witnesses and notarized to be legally binding.
