Utah Object Rape of a Child is a criminal offense in the state of Utah and is defined as the unlawful penetration of a child's body with an object. It includes penetration of a vagina, anus, or mouth with any object, including objects utilized in medical procedures. It may also include, but is not limited to, the insertion of a finger or foreign object into a child's body, without the child's consent. There are three types of Utah Object Rape of a Child: 1) Aggravated Object Rape of a Child, 2) Object Rape of a Child, and 3) Attempted Object Rape of a Child. Aggravated Object Rape of a Child is the most serious form of the crime and is defined as an act of sexual penetration involving a child under the age of 14. This type of offense is punishable by up to life in prison. Object Rape of a Child is defined as an act of sexual penetration involving a child who is 14 or 15 years old. This type of offense is punishable by up to 15 years in prison. Attempted Object Rape of a Child is defined as an attempt to commit an act of sexual penetration with a child, but where the attempt is unsuccessful. This type of offense is punishable by up to 5 years in prison.
