Utah Complaint Form Attorney Misconduct is a form used to report unethical or illegal behavior by an attorney in the state of Utah. This form is designed to provide the Utah State Bar with information that may indicate a violation of the Rules of Professional Conduct. There are four different types of Utah Complaint Form Attorney Misconduct: Unprofessional Conduct, Negligence, Unauthorized Practice of Law, and Conflict of Interest. Unprofessional Conduct includes any action or conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice or that brings the legal profession into disrepute. Negligence is the failure of an attorney to exercise due care and reasonable skill in the performance of their duties. Unauthorized Practice of Law is when an attorney practices law in a jurisdiction where they are not licensed to do so. Lastly, Conflict of Interest is when an attorney has a personal or financial interest in a case or transaction that conflicts with their duty to their client.
