A Utah Civil Stalking Injunction is a court-ordered restraining order that is issued by a court in the state of Utah. It is intended to protect a person from being stalked, harassed, or otherwise threatened by another person. It can be issued against anyone (including family members, friends, and strangers) who is engaging in a pattern of stalking behavior. The types of Utah Civil Stalking Injunction are as follows: Temporary Stalking Injunction, Permanent Stalking Injunction, and Extreme Risk Protection Order (RPO). A Temporary Stalking Injunction is issued to provide immediate protection for the victim and can last up to 30 days. A Permanent Stalking Injunction is issued for a longer period of time and can last up to a year. An RPO is issued in order to immediately remove firearms from someone who poses a significant risk of harm to themselves or others.
