Virginia Application For Mentor Status is an online application process that connects prospective mentors with organizations in Virginia that offer mentoring services. There are three types of Virginia Application For Mentor Status: (1) Local Mentor Application, (2) State Mentor Application, and (3) National Mentor Application. The Local Mentor Application is for mentors who wish to work in a specific locality, such as a county, city, or town. The State Mentor Application is for mentors who wish to work in a general geographical region such as the greater Richmond area. The National Mentor Application is for mentors who wish to work with a larger organization outside of Virginia, such as a national organization or a large corporate organization. Each application requires applicants to provide personal information, such as their name, address, contact information, and education and work history. Applicants must also provide a description of their qualifications and experience, and their availability and commitment to mentoring. After the application is submitted, it is reviewed by a panel of mentors and approved or denied. Once approved, mentors will be added to a list of approved mentors and be eligible to be matched with mentees.
