Virginia Expungement Order — Form CC-1474 is a form used by the state of Virginia to order the destruction or sealing of criminal records. There are two types of Virginia Expungement Order — Form CC-1474: 1) Expungement of Arrest Records (Form CC-1474A), and 2) Expungement of Conviction Records (Form CC-1474B). Form CC-1474A is used to expunge or seal criminal records related to an arrest that did not result in a conviction. Form CC-1474B is used to expunge or seal criminal records related to a conviction. Both forms require the applicant to provide detailed information about the criminal charge(s) for which they are requesting an expungement. The form also requires the applicant to provide a copy of the original charging document, such as an arrest warrant, indictment, or criminal complaint. Once the form is completed and submitted, the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services will review the application and, if approved, issue an order directing the relevant law enforcement and criminal justice agencies to destroy or seal the criminal records in question.
