A Vermont Medical Child Support Order is a legally binding agreement between two parties that outlines how medical expenses will be divided and paid for a child in Vermont. This includes both medical insurance cost and any uncovered expenses. The order is issued by the Vermont Department of Health and Human Services and enforced by the Family Division of the Vermont Superior Court. There are three types of Vermont Medical Child Support Orders: Administrative, Administrative Review, and Judicial. An Administrative Order is issued by the Department of Health and Human Services after the completion of an application. An Administrative Review is an appeal of an Administrative Order and is issued by the Vermont Superior Court. Lastly, a Judicial Order is issued by a judge of the Vermont Superior Court after a hearing has been held.
