Vermont Request for Reasonable Accommodation (ADA) is a process for requesting certain modifications or accommodations for a person with a disability in order to increase their access to and enjoyment of a program, service, activity, or facility. It is designed to ensure that individuals with disabilities have equal access to programs, services, activities, and facilities by providing them with reasonable modifications or accommodations that will enable them to participate in and benefit from the program, service, activity, or facility. Types of reasonable accommodations include, but are not limited to: auxiliary aids, barrier removal, modifications of policies, procedures and practices, and reasonable modifications to physical structures. The ADA also requires that any person with a disability who requests an accommodation be provided with a reasonable response and a timely resolution to their request.
