There are two types of Vermont Notice to Interested Persons of Commencement of Adoption Procedure: 1. Notice to Interested Persons of Commencement of Adoption by Stepparent: This type of notice is issued when a stepparent wishes to adopt a child. The notice informs the natural parents of the adoption process, as well as the stepparent’s rights and obligations in the process. 2. Notice to Interested Persons of Commencement of Adoption by Non-Stepparent: This type of notice is issued when a non-stepparent wishes to adopt a child.
