Vermont Subsidy Application (Mediation) is a program designed to help eligible Vermont families access affordable childcare. It provides financial assistance to families who need help paying for childcare costs. The program offers a variety of options, including direct payments to childcare providers, subsidies to families based on their income, and access to childcare vouchers. There are two types of Vermont Subsidy Application (Mediation): the Child Care Subsidy Program and the Universal Prekindergarten Program. The Child Care Subsidy Program provides financial assistance to qualifying families, based on their income, to help cover the cost of childcare. The Universal Prekindergarten Program provides free full-day preschool for all Vermont children aged 3-5, regardless of income. Both programs require an application and eligibility screening in order to be approved.
