The Application for Certification as a Vermont Rehabilitation Professional is an application process for individuals who wish to become certified as a rehabilitation professional in the state of Vermont. The process includes a completed application form, a fee, and proof of having met the educational and experience qualifications. There are two types of Application for Certification as a Vermont Rehabilitation Professional: 1. Certified Rehabilitation Counselor: This application is for individuals who have completed a master’s degree or higher in rehabilitation counseling and have met the experience requirements as defined by the Vermont Board of Rehabilitation Counseling. 2. Certified Rehabilitation Technician: This application is for individuals who have completed an associate’s degree or higher in rehabilitation technology and have met the experience requirements as defined by the Vermont Board of Rehabilitation Technology. In order to apply, applicants must submit a completed application form, a fee, an official transcript from the accredited institution, proof of two to four years of rehabilitation experience, and any other documentation as requested by the Board. Upon successful completion of the application process, applicants will be issued a certification as a Vermont Rehabilitation Professional.
