Washington Certificate of Debtor(s) is a document issued by the Washington State Department of Revenue certifying that an individual or a business is a debtor of the state of Washington. There are two types of Washington Certificate of Debtor(s): a regular certificate and a super priority certificate. The regular certificate is issued when the amount owed is less than $25,000, and the super priority certificate is issued when the amount owed is greater than $25,000. A mailing matrix, sometimes called a "mailing list" or "matrix," is a list of the names and mailing address of creditors and parties in interest in a bankruptcy case. Each mailing matrix is processed into Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) by software that reads and interprets the text on each page.

The fastest way to obtain a copy is through the NPRC website. Expect a two to three week wait to receive requested records.

A Debt Release Letter is a letter written by a creditor to a debtor when their debt has been recouped in full. It establishes that a financial obligation no longer exists between the creditor and debtor.

At the top of the form, there is a box to identify the debtor by name, the pending case number, and the bankruptcy court in which the case is pending. You can determine the name of the bankruptcy court and the case number by looking at the other documents you have received from the court or the clerk.

The bankruptcy discharge order permanently forbids creditors from trying to collect a discharged debt. Some collection agencies and creditors attempt to collect debt despite a bankruptcy court order telling them to stop.

Once the debt is discharged by the bankruptcy court, the discharge permanently bars the creditor or debt collector from collection of the debt. Filing for bankruptcy can have long-term consequences so consult a bankruptcy attorney to learn more.

You cannot remove a discharged debt from your credit report unless the information listed is incorrect. Even though you repaid the debt, partially or in full, or the lender stopped its collection attempts, the entry will remain on your report for seven years.
