Washington Complaint — Employment Discrimination is a term used to describe complaints of discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, marital status, military status, retaliation, or any other basis prohibited by state or federal law in Washington State. There are two types of Washington Complaint — Employment Discrimination: Hostile Work Environment and Disparate Treatment. Hostile Work Environment occurs when an employee is subjected to unwelcome and offensive conduct based on a protected class, such as race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, or military status. In contrast, Disparate Treatment occurs when an employee is treated differently or unfairly based on a protected class.
