The Washington Periodic Personal Care Plan (WP PCP) is a program developed by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSS) to help eligible individuals and families pay for personal care services. The WP PCP provides financial assistance to those who need help with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, eating, and transferring. The program is designed to provide services and support to individuals with disabilities, seniors, and those with chronic illnesses. The WP PCP offers two types of plans: the periodic plan and the comprehensive plan. The periodic plan is designed for those who have limited personal care needs and require periodic assistance with activities of daily living. The comprehensive plan is designed for individuals who have more complex needs and require assistance with multiple activities of daily living. Both plans provide access to personal care services and include a personal care budget and approved personal care providers. The WP PCP also offers a range of additional services, including respite care, transportation assistance, and home modifications. Additionally, the program includes a variety of supports, such as case management and advocacy, to help individuals access and utilize necessary services.
