Description

Data Dissemination Request

Washington Data Dissemination Request (DDR) is a process for requesting data from the State of Washington. It allows individuals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations to make requests to the Washington State Government for public records. There are two types of Wars: bulk and targeted. Bulk Wars are requests for all records or documents related to an issue, topic, or subject. Targeted Wars are requests for specific records or documents related to an issue, topic, or subject. Both types of Wars must include sufficient detail to enable the State of Washington to identify the requested records. When submitting a DDR, the requester must provide contact information, a description of the records or documents requested, a timeline for when the records or documents are needed, and any other relevant information that may help the State of Washington in locating the requested records. Requests can be submitted online, by mail, or in person. The State of Washington is committed to providing access to public records in accordance with its Open Public Records Act (OPERA). Wars are processed in the order they are received and the State of Washington will respond to the request as quickly as possible.
