Washington Jury Demand is a service offered by the Washington State Superior Courts that allows individuals to request a jury trial in civil cases. The jury demand must be made in writing by the plaintiff or defendant in the case. There are two types of Washington Jury Demand: a Demand for Trial by Jury and a Demand for Trial by Jury of Twelve. A Demand for Trial by Jury requires the court to set a date for the jury trial, while a Demand for Trial by Jury of Twelve requires twelve jurors to be present for the trial. Both types of jury demand must be made in writing and filed with the court at least 10 days prior to the scheduled trial.
