The Washington Notice of Loss of Voting Rights is a type of notice issued by the Washington Secretary of State to inform a voter that their registration has been cancelled, and that they have lost their right to vote in any Washington election. This notice is generally issued in response to a change in a voter's residence, or in response to a criminal conviction that affects their voting rights. There are two types of Washington Notice of Loss of Voting Rights: a Notice of Loss of Voting Rights due to a Change in Residence, and a Notice of Loss of Voting Rights due to a Criminal Conviction. The Notice of Loss of Voting Rights due to a Change in Residence is sent to a voter when they have moved to a new address outside the county or state where they are registered, or when they have moved within the county or state but have failed to update their voter registration information. The Notice of Loss of Voting Rights due to a Criminal Conviction is sent to a voter who has been convicted of a felony or certain other crimes that disqualify them from voting.
