A Washington Order is a court document issued in the U.S. state of Washington. It is an order from a judge that requires one or more parties to perform a certain action or provide specific information. It can also be used to prohibit a party from doing something or going somewhere. There are three types of Washington Orders: Temporary Protection Orders, Anti-Harassment Orders, and Domestic Violence Protection Orders. Temporary Protection Orders are issued to protect someone from physical, sexual, or psychological abuse, harassment, or stalking. This order prohibits the abuser from having contact with the protected person, going to their residence, or having weapons. Anti-Harassment Orders are issued when someone is being stalked or harassed. This order prohibits the perpetrator from contacting the victim in any way or going to their residence. Domestic Violence Protection Orders are issued to protect someone from physical, sexual, or psychological abuse within a domestic relationship. This order prohibits the perpetrator from having contact with the victim and going to their residence. The order may also require the perpetrator to attend counseling or treatment.
