The Washington Domestic Trial Management Joint Report is a document created with the intention of providing a comprehensive overview of the trial management process in Washington State. This document is a joint effort by the Washington State Bar Association, the Washington State Supreme Court, the Washington State Office of Civil Legal Aid, and the Washington State Trial Courts. It is intended to provide information about the trial management process from start to finish and to facilitate communication and collaboration between parties involved in the trial management process. The report includes information on trial management roles, court administration, jury selection, pretrial conferences, and trial scheduling. It also outlines recommended best practices for trial management. The Washington Domestic Trial Management Joint Report is divided into two parts: the Domestic Trial Management Joint Report and the Domestic Trial Management Joint Workbook. The Domestic Trial Management Joint Report contains an overview of the trial management process, while the Domestic Trial Management Joint Workbook contains detailed information on trial management roles, court administration, jury selection, pretrial conferences, and trial scheduling. In addition, the Washington State Bar Association and the Washington State Trial Courts have developed a series of supplemental materials, including checklists and forms, to help guide individuals through the trial management process.
