Washington Request For Certification And Transfer of Small Claim Judgment (known as Form SC-120) is a legal document used to transfer a small claim judgment from one county to another in the state of Washington. It is used when a person who has won a case in a small claims court in one county wishes to collect the money awarded in the judgment from the defendant who lives in another county. Form SC-120 consists of two parts: the Request for Certification and the Transfer of Judgment. The Request for Certification is the portion of the form that is filled out by the plaintiff to request a certified copy of the judgment from the court in which it was rendered. The plaintiff must also provide information about the defendant, including their name, address, and the amount of the judgment. The Transfer of Judgment portion of the form is completed by the defendant. This part of the form is used to transfer the judgment from the county in which it was rendered to the county in which the defendant resides. The defendant is required to provide proof of their identity and address, as well as a written acknowledgement that they are aware of the transfer. There are two types of Washington Request For Certification And Transfer of Small Claim Judgment: Form SC-120-A for judgments up to $5,000 and Form SC-120-B for judgments greater than $5,000.
