A Washington Limited Partnership Statement of Termination is a document that officially declares the termination of a Washington Limited Partnership (LP). It is used to terminate the partnership agreement, and to document the dissolution of the partnership's interests, liabilities, and assets. This document must be signed and filed with the Washington Secretary of State in order to be legally binding. There are two types of Washington Limited Partnership Statements of Termination: the Short Form Statement of Termination and the Long Form Statement of Termination. The Short Form Statement of Termination is used when the partnership has no debts or liabilities and the Long Form Statement of Termination is used when the partnership has debts or liabilities. Both forms must include the partnership's name, the date of termination, the address, the signature of the general partner, and the signature of the limited partner.
