The Washington Decree of Dissolution-Legal Separation — Declaration Concerning Validity (Of Marriage) is a legal document issued by the state court of Washington to officially dissolve a marriage or legally separate a couple. This document is legally binding and will be accepted in all 50 states as a valid termination of a marriage. There are two types of Washington Decree of Dissolution-Legal Separation — Declaration Concerning Validity (Of Marriage): a Decree of Dissolution and a Decree of Legal Separation. The Decree of Dissolution is used to terminate a marriage and the Decree of Legal Separation is used to legally separate a couple while still legally married. Both types of Decree will contain information regarding the dissolution or legal separation of the marriage, such as the names of each spouse, the date of marriage, the date of dissolution or separation, any child custody or support arrangements, and any property or debt division agreements. This document must be signed by a judge in order to be legally binding.
