Washington Foreign Protection Order Information is a set of resources and information related to foreign protection orders in the U.S. state of Washington. It includes information about obtaining, registering, and enforcing foreign protection orders, as well as resources for victims of domestic violence and other related topics. There are three main types of information: Domestic Violence Protection Orders, Civil Protection Orders, and No-Contact Orders. Domestic Violence Protection Orders provide protection from physical, sexual, and/or emotional abuse, and can be used to prevent contact with the abuser. Civil Protection Orders provide protection against threats, harassment, and/or stalking, and are often used to keep the abuser away from the victim. Finally, No-Contact Orders prohibit the abuser from contacting the victim and/or going to certain places. All three types of orders can be obtained through Washington State courts.
